Where do you go when it’s midnight, you’re hungry and refrigerator raids have yielded no fruit? Akanksha Tyagi tracks down outlets that serve meals around the clock. The later you go, the more space there is to park!

Tete-a-Tea: This is not a shop. It’s not even a stall. A woman sitting on the footpath with a couple of bags and a temporary arrangement to make tea serves some cookies, cakes and cream rolls as well. However, she’s seems a bit moody and doesn’t have a regular shift, so if you’re lucky you’ll catch her between 1 - 4 am.

Wee hour snack: Khushboo is a hub for students because of its proximity to MIT college. This small place tucked in a corner of the complex and serves delicious pohe full of peanuts and a generous serving. Khushboo also serves sabudana khichdi and tea.

24 ouvre: If you’re looking for a more sophisticated ambience and are willing to pay the difference, try a coffee shop at any of the five stars hotels in town. I headed to Sun-n-Sand and found the sizzling brownie and biryanis to be quite a hit. They also offer mini meals, both veg and non veg).

Good night grub: Just off platform no. 1, this national chain serves a lot of variety available at any time. A full meal, veg or non-veg, is priced at Rs 60 and Rs 100. There are also burgers, sandwiches, sweets, pastries, cold drinks and juices for sale.

Bun bun bole: Although one has many options to eat near station, Goodluck Bakery is a treat because of the variety it offers. As the name suggests, it stocks mostly bakery products like cookies, pastries, plum cakes, bun maska, cream rolls, etc. Take your pick depending on your hunger level. Cookies come as cheap as four to five bucks and the most expensive item is a bun maska or a plum cake each at Rs 40, but a mini bun maska is available at Rs 20.
